Miracle fruit is a tropical shrub native to the jungles of West Africa. It is grown for its jellybean-sized red berries, which have the incredible ability to change the way your tongue perceives flavors! Simply rub one of the skinned berries around in your mouth, and any sour or bitter foods eaten afterwards will taste unbelievably sweet! Lemons, limes, and plain cranberries are among my personal favorites.

You can expect your first harvest of berries around 2-3 years after receiving your miracle berry plants. Once established, miracle berry bushes will produce hundreds of beautiful, scarlet red berries every year.

These miracle berry plants will be delivered to you growing in a peat moss pod as pictured in the description. They thrive in acidic, well-drained soil, growing best under filtered light that simulates the rainforest understory of their native environment. A good soil mix for them is 2 parts peat moss, 2 parts potting soil, and 1 part perlite (coarse sand can be used to substitute the perlite). If you choose to use regular, pre-mixed potting soil, just acidify the soil before the planting. Soil acidifiers can be found online and at most garden centers. Although mature plants can survive a few degrees of frost, young miracle berry trees will not, and protection from temps below 45 degrees is recommended for miracle berry plants of all ages. Fortunately, due to their low sunlight needs, miracle berry bushes can thrive indoors next to a sunny window or under artificial lighting.

You won't want to miss out on growing one of the coolest and craziest fruits out there!
