Fish mint is a hard to find, Southeast Asian herb that grows low to the ground and spreads slowly. And this plant lives up to it's name! All parts of the plant have a very strong fish scent when crushed, in addition to a strong fish flavor.
Uses
Fish Mint is commonly used in Asian dishes such as salads, soups, stir-fries, spring rolls, in fritters, or used as a garnish on soups and salads. It also adds great flavor to grilled fish or other meats.
Care
Fish mint thrives in wet conditions, either in full sun or in partial shade, as long as it is kept well-watered. Plant in well-draining soil. These can grow up to two or three feet tall and about three feet wide.
