Double Mahoi Bananas are a unique and highly prized variety known for their ability to produce two bunches of fruit on a single plant. This rare trait makes them a favorite among banana enthusiasts. Double Mahoi plants typically grow between 5 and 8 feet tall, making them a manageable size for home gardens. Like all bananas, they thrive in warm, tropical conditions and need protection from freezing temperatures. Their compact size allows them to be grown in containers, making it easy to bring them indoors during colder months. With proper care, they can start producing fruit in as little as 9 to 15 months.  

For gardeners in frost-free or minimally frosty climates, Double Mahoi banana plants flourish when planted directly in the ground, where they can produce even larger yields.  

One of the most exciting aspects of the Double Mahoi is its ability to multiply. Like other bananas, it produces offshoots, or "pups," throughout its life. These pups can be separated and replanted to grow new banana plants. After the mother plant fruits, it typically produces vigorous pups that inherit its unique double-bunching trait, making it an excellent variety for propagation and continuous harvests.
