Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry - Set of 4 Starter Plants
TSE Nursery's Dwarf Ever-Bearing Mulberry plants will be delivered to you as starter plants in cell pots (as pictured), and can be expected to bear fruit next year or the following.
Mulberries are very similar in taste and appearance to blackberries, being somewhat smaller, and lacking the rock-hard little seeds that blackberries have. They are ready to harvest when the berries have turned completely black. An advantage of growing ever-bearing mulberries is that they produce small batches of fruit throughout the warm season, whereas standard mulberries tend to dump all of their fruit at once, making a mess of berries that can’t be harvested and consumed in time before they spoil (one reason you won’t find mulberries in stores is because they have a very short shelf life).
Dwarf Ever-Bearing Mulberries grow as small bushes, and can be trimmed down to be as small as two feet tall! They are an excellent choice for container gardeners, and when fully mature will only need about 5 or more gallons of soil to thrive.
